Cleveland, Ohio is part of the area known as "the rust belt". It is one of several cities along the Great Lakes known for manufacturing that came to prominence during the industrial revolution. Manufacturing stuck around these cities through world war II and are still going strong today. There has certainly been a drop off as the population of these Great Lakes cities but they still remain a hotbed for manufacturing. Because of this, Cleveland is still filled with machine shops and nearly any post process you can imagine. We are fortunate to have the following options within a 30 mile radius of our shop:
- plating
- anodizing
- passivation
- black oxide
- heat treat
- grinding
- thread patch/sealant
- vibratory finishing
- eddy current testing
- destructive and non-destructive testingt
- deburring – thermal and electrochemical
This helps keep our lead times down as parts can be transported to and from supplies the same day. This proximity also leads to stronger relationship with suppliers. It's more valuable to meet in person over questionable parts rather than send parts in the mail and talk over phone.
