A Mazak Hyper Quadrex 100msy (HQR) CNC turning center arrived last week to Gent machine and has been added to our floor. The beginning of 2025 has been a busy one with regard to new equipment. This machine has been added to to our lineup in order to supplement production of a large project we are working on. It is on loan, as a courtesy, from Mazak Corporation.

This HQR is a twin spindle twin turret machine with a 2" bar capacity. Each turret has 12 positions for driven or static tools. The front and rear spindles can reach speeds of 6000 RPM while the rotary tools can also reach 6000 RPM by way of a 7.5HP motor.

Although the capacity of this machine is no different than our Eurotech Elite B446SY2, it is certainly the largest machine to come into our building. See the pictures below. It barely fit down our aisles but the rigging team worked their magic and was able to set it in place.

We are excited to have this machine to supplement our production. Then once all of our swiss machines are fully operational we look forward to using this machine for larger part projects that come through the pipleline.
