Gent Machine welcomed our second Mazak Syncrex CNC Swiss machine to the shop last week. This machine will produce the same part as Syncrex #1. We also have 3 more machines that are due in over the next several months to produce this same part.

In total, we needed 5 new machines for a project we were awarded late 2024. The project requires, at its peak, 160000 pieces per month to be produced. The cycle time of the part is 40-45 seconds and in order to make this many pieces we need 5 machines to run 24 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Our customer has a ramp up period so not all 160,000 pieces are needed in the first month. We have been working up to this quantity with releases starting at 15,000 then 45,000, 60000 and finally 160000 pcs.

We are excited to have this new technology on our floor and can't wait to be in full production.
